BATH — Ben Walker saw much of the country in a 4,000-mile bicycle trip this past summer. But what left the biggest impression on him was what he saw in people.
“I was mostly surprised at how generous people were,” said Walker, 22, a 2005 graduate of Revere High School, who participated in Bike and Build, a two-month trip for which he raised $4,069 for affordable housing organizations. “We could go into any restaurant and tell them what we were doing and they would feed us for free.” Read More

Coach Terry Cistone has officially announced his intentions to retire as the head football coach at Revere High School at the conclusion of the 2009 football season. Coach Cistone has had a tremendous impact on the Revere Football Program over the last 19 seasons (7 as head coach and 12 as assistant coach) and has made such positive impact on so many young men & women that have come through the program. The commitment and dedication of 19 years has not gone unnoticed—we thank him and his family for their love & dedication to Revere Football and to the Revere Local School District.

Coach Fred Tomei has officially announced his intentions to retire as an assistant football coach at Revere High School at the conclusion of the 2009 football season. Coach Tomei has had a tremendous impact on the Revere Football Program for 23 season (he has been a high school coach for 30 years). His impact has been felt by so many players through the years, especially the linemen—the position he coached for most of his years. The commitment and dedication of 23 years coaching and 33 years teaching has not gone unnoticed—we thank him and his family for their dedication to the sport and to this district! He will be greatly missed!
Fred Tomei has been coaching high school football for 30 years. He started out coaching CYO football in Akron while he was going to school at the University of Akron. In 1973, he then became an assistant at his alma mater, St. V-M under his high school coach (legendary coach—John Cistone). In 1975 he took he took a job coaching at Tallmadge with Dan Pappano (cousin of legendary Revere coach Joe Pappano). In 1977, he joined Coach Pappano’s coaching staff at Revere. He left the Revere coaching staff in 1991 to coach his kids in CYO football and then coached them at Tallmadge High School (1997-1999). Coach Tomei returned to the Revere coaching staff in 2000 and has been on staff ever since. In recognition of his efforts as a coach at Revere, he was honored by having a football team special award named on his behalf—the Offensive Lineman of the Year Award became known as the Fred Tomei Award. Coach Tomei is currently the principal of Bath Elementary school and is in his 33rd year of education at Revere—36th year of overall (17 years as a middle school teacher and 19 has a building principal).
